What IHG Rewards Club Select (Chase, legacy) unlocks

Most of what IHG Rewards Club Select (Chase, legacy) reaches takes an application, a stay, or a status match; the card's own IHG benefit takes none of that. The card is no longer open to new applicants, but existing US cardholders keep IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite automatically for as long as they hold it — no stays, no separate application. Everything else below builds off that Platinum status.

Platinum Elite matches, once per lifetime, into Choice Privileges Platinum in the US and Canada. It also earns a free match into Wyndham Rewards Diamond worldwide, good for 90 days unless you add 10 qualifying nights to extend it — and Wyndham Diamond itself opens a further once-per-lifetime match into MSC Voyagers Club Gold, which then matches once more into Explora Club (Explora Journeys) Gold; the reference below maps each of those hops.

Platinum Elite also matches into National Emerald Club Executive Elite in the US and Canada, which is where the car-rental paths fork. From there you can match into Avis President's Club (verified by email, good for about a year), into Hertz President's Circle (once every five years, valid through the second calendar year after approval), or into Sixt Platinum, renewed annually. Rental brands routinely match each other's top tiers, so it's no error that Hertz President's Circle status is itself the ticket for one more match, into Enterprise Plus Platinum in the US and Canada, kept by hitting 24 rentals or 85 rental days a year.
