Wyndham's entry-level tier, Gold, comes free with two US cards. The 
Wyndham Rewards Earner card confers it automatically for as long as you hold the card, and the 
Wyndham Rewards Debit Card does the same while the debit account stays open — Gold runs through December 31 of the year you close that account.
Most ways into Wyndham Rewards status run through a status match; one route to Diamond runs through a credit card instead, and it doesn't expire the way a match does. If you already hold 
World of Hyatt Explorist, 
IHG One Rewards Gold Elite, or 
Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite, you're a free match away from Wyndham Platinum — all three work worldwide. The Hyatt and IHG matches last 90 days, then need 4 qualifying nights to extend the status through the following year; the Marriott Silver match runs on the same 90-day clock, with its own qualifying-night requirement to extend. In the US, the Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus card also confers Platinum automatically, starting in your second cardmembership year; its first year lands you at Diamond instead, under the 2026 Earner refresh.
Diamond has more doors. In the US, the 
Wyndham Rewards Earner Business card confers it automatically for as long as you hold the card — no stays, no expiration to manage. The Earner Plus card also gets you to Diamond, but only during your first cardmembership year, after which it reverts to Platinum as noted above. Elsewhere, a long list of elite tiers match into Diamond for free, including 
Hilton Honors Gold, World of Hyatt Globalist, and Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, plus matches from IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite,
