What Chase Sapphire Reserve unlocks

If you already hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you're one enrollment away from IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite: link your accounts and IHG activates the status free in the US, active through the end of 2027, no stays or spend required. The same enrollment also hands you Avis Preferred Plus and National Emerald Club Executive in the US at no cost.

IHG Platinum Elite is the springboard for two more free hotel matches: Choice Privileges matches it to Choice Privileges Platinum in the US and Canada (once-per-lifetime, capped at Platinum), and Wyndham Rewards matches it to Wyndham Diamond, which holds 90 days unless you add 10 qualifying nights. The National Emerald Club Executive tier the card grants directly — below the Executive Elite reached via IHG — separately matches into Sixt Platinum, which needs renewing after 12 months.

A 2025 refresh added a spend path: $75,000 in card purchases a year unlocks IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite (into the following year), Southwest Rapid Rewards A-List (plus a $500 Southwest credit via Chase Travel), and, added in 2026, World of Hyatt Explorist (running into February of the third year). Each opens further matches: IHG Diamond into Hilton Honors Gold worldwide (90 days, 12-night challenge to Diamond, once per lifetime); Hyatt Explorist into MSC Voyagers Club Gold (once per lifetime, lapses without an MSC cruise in three years), which itself matches into Explora Club Gold with proof; and Southwest A-List into United MileagePlus Premier Silver (extendable via 5 PQF/1,700 PQP in 120 days) and JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic 1, though JetBlue doesn't spell out the exact Southwest crosswalk.

Car brands routinely match each other, so the longer chains here cross brands: IHG Platinum Elite threads through National Emerald Club Executive Elite into Avis President's Club, and Avis Preferred Plus chains through Hertz President's Circle into Enterprise Plus Platinum.
