That status alone is enough to match into Choice Privileges Platinum in the US and Canada, a once-per-lifetime move capped at that tier.

Push card spend to $40,000 in a calendar year and IHG upgrades you further, to Diamond Elite, valid through December 31 of the following year. Diamond Elite carries its own perk beyond IHG's own program: a once-per-lifetime match into Hilton Honors Gold, good for 90 days of instant Gold with a 12-night stay challenge to reach Diamond.

IHG Platinum Elite also opens a free match into Wyndham Rewards Diamond, valid 90 days unless you add ten qualifying nights to extend it. From there the chain keeps going: Wyndham Diamond matches into MSC Voyagers Club Gold, which matches again into Explora Club (Explora Journeys) Gold — each leg's terms are mapped in the reference below.

On the car-rental side, IHG Platinum Elite matches into National Emerald Club Executive Elite in the US and Canada, which becomes the hub for three separate matches: Avis President's Club, granted by emailing proof of your National status and holding for about a year; Hertz President's Circle, available once every five years and holding through the second calendar year after approval; and Sixt Platinum, which — unlike the others — never expires. Hertz's status matches into Enterprise Plus Platinum in the US and Canada by uploading a current Hertz statement, though keeping that tier past the first year takes 24 rentals or 85 rental days annually.
