What Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus unlocks

Most of what this card unlocks takes an extra step; the top hotel tier doesn't. Holding the Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus gets you Wyndham Rewards Diamond automatically during your first cardmembership year — a benefit added in the 2026-06 Earner refresh — though it reverts to Platinum once that year ends.

That first-year Diamond status is also the key to two separate once-per-lifetime matches. Choice Privileges will match it to Platinum, a route open to both US and Canadian members. Separately, MSC Voyagers Club will match it to Gold worldwide, though that status lapses if you don't sail with MSC within three years of the match. Both matches cost nothing beyond the paperwork, but each can only be used once, so treat them as a single shot rather than something to repeat.
