What Best Western Rewards unlocks

Diamond status with Best Western Rewards reaches three other programs at no cost — two hotel tiers in a single match, and one cruise tier two matches deep. The single-hop routes are simplest: Wyndham Rewards matches Diamond into Diamond worldwide, and Choice Privileges matches it into Platinum, though the Choice match is only open to members in the US and Canada.

Both are one-time moves — once you've used the match, that door doesn't reopen. Wyndham's Diamond status runs for 90 days unless you pick up 10 qualifying nights to extend it, so treat it as a trial run unless you're already booking nights there. Choice Privileges' Platinum match is capped at that tier and, depending on when you request it, runs through the current year or into the following one.

Diamond also opens a two-step free path into cruising: it matches into MSC Voyagers Club Gold, and that Gold status matches again into Explora Club (Explora Journeys) Gold, with Explora typically processing the request in about 10 business days. Each leg is a once-per-lifetime move, and the MSC leg lapses if you don't take a cruise with that line within three years — so if Explora is the goal, don't let the MSC match sit unused.
