card · starting from cardholder · unlocks 5 programs (5 free)
Most of what this card reaches takes an application or a match request; the Hertz President's Circle status doesn't — it comes with the card the moment you enroll, no rentals required.
Delta SkyMiles status works differently: the card gives you a $2,500 MQD head start each Medallion year plus $1 of MQD for every $10 you charge, uncapped, so clearing Silver Medallion's 5,000 MQD threshold takes roughly $25,000 of card spend on top of that head start.
That complimentary Hertz status is also the doorway into three other rental programs, each reached with its own separate match afterward. Email a screenshot of your Hertz status to Avis and you land in President's Club, though it's only good for about a year before Avis wants 20 rentals or $6,000 in US spend to keep you there. Send the same Hertz proof to
Enterprise Plus and you get Platinum, renewable with 24 rentals or 85 rental days a year.
Sixt takes that same Hertz status and matches it to Platinum too — that one doesn't expire on its first cycle, though renewal terms apply after twelve months. None of these three match requests costs anything to submit; they just don't carry the same staying power as the Hertz status they're built on.
