Every route into Lufthansa Miles & More Frequent Traveller status runs through a status match with another airline program, and as of today none of them are open to new applicants. British Airways Executive Club Silver,
Iberia Plus Plata, and Iberia Plus Oro all matched into Frequent Traveller for a EUR 99 one-off fee, but that enrollment window closed around February 28, 2026.
ITA Airways Volare Club Plus matched in for free, with its own window closing around March 22, 2026. Anyone who got in before those dates keeps Frequent Traveller status through February 28, 2027, after which normal Miles & More requalification rules take over.
Of the four, the ITA route was the only one that cost nothing, though the Frequent Traveller status it grants comes with narrower lounge access — Lufthansa, SWISS, and Austrian-operated lounges only, rather than the full Star Alliance network that comes with a BA or Iberia match. The Iberia Oro match is worth noting too: Oro outranks Plata in Iberia's own tier structure, but this campaign capped both at Frequent Traveller rather than placing Oro holders any higher.
One more limit applies across all four: once a match is approved, that member is locked out of any future Miles & More status match, so this was a one-time move, not something to repeat.
