Anyone matched in before the window closed keeps Miles & More Frequent Traveller status through February 28, 2027, after which it continues through Miles & More's normal requalification.

For members who already hold that Frequent Traveller status, it matches on to Sixt Gold, and Sixt is where the car rental routes fork — each rental brand here matches its rivals' tiers, so the chains cross brands more than once. One branch runs through Hertz Five Star and Sixt Platinum before finishing at Avis President's Club, Avis's top tier. The other runs through Avis Preferred Plus and Hertz President's Circle before landing at Enterprise Plus Platinum — though that last leg only works for US and Canadian matches. Sixt status itself never expires but upgrades on a 12-month cycle and then needs renewing, while the Hertz leg, wherever it falls, can only be used once every five years.
