If you already hold United MileagePlus Premier Gold, you're one status match away from Alaska Atmos Gold (MVP Gold) — Atmos's own status-match chart maps that tier straight across. The same US chart also credits Frontier Miles Gold and Southwest Rapid Rewards A-List Preferred (base A-List only reaches Atmos Silver, not Gold, so it doesn't count here). Coming from Air Canada Aeroplan Elite 50K works too, and that one isn't tied to a US account — it's honored globally.

All four matches run on the same terms: they're complimentary, but each is a one-time-per-lifetime move, and the status they grant only holds for 90 days unless you earn 10,000 base points flying Alaska or Hawaiian within that window. That makes them worth saving for a market where you're actually about to fly Alaska, not something to burn just to see if it works. The one path that isn't a match at all is the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite from Bank of America: it earns 10,000 status points on your account anniversary plus 1 point per $2 spent with no cap, and since Gold sits at 40,000 status points for 2026, roughly $60,000 in annual card spend gets you there without setting foot on an Alaska or Hawaiian flight. Two more cards work the same way but need more spend: the Atmos Rewards Ascent Visa Signature and the Atmos Rewards Visa Business Card each earn 1 status point per $3, uncapped, so $120,000 in annual spend clears Gold's 40,000-point bar — and the same two cards clear Silver's lower 20,000-point bar at $60,000 in spend, with no flying required either way and no match needed to get there.
