Most of what the UBS Visa Infinite reaches down the line takes a status match; the first hop doesn't. Activate the card in the US and you get complimentary National Emerald Club Executive status — good for one year from enrollment and renewable, not a one-time perk.

From that Executive status, one fork picks up Sixt Platinum — a match that never expires, though it upgrades after the first 12 months and then needs renewing — before landing at Avis President's Club. Every leg of that chain is free, just proof of status by email or profile update, and the reference below maps each hop.

The other fork is slower. National Executive matches into Avis Preferred Plus, and getting from there to Hertz President's Circle needs 25 or more rentals within the year — a real volume bar, not just paperwork — before that Hertz status matches into Enterprise Plus Platinum. If you're not already renting that often, the Sixt-to-Avis chain is the one worth taking.
