What Citi / AAdvantage Executive unlocks

card · starting from cardholder · unlocks 6 programs (6 free)

This card opens six programs across two categories — one airline and five car-rental programs — through a mix of pure card benefits and rental-brand matches. On the airline side, holding the card alone isn't enough: $40,000 in card spend within a qualification year earns enough Loyalty Points to clear the threshold for AA Gold, with no flying required. The car-rental side is the genuinely complimentary part — registering the card's World Elite Mastercard benefits gets you Sixt Advantage Circle Platinum and National Emerald Club Executive at no cost and with no rental history needed.

Two more rental tiers build off those free grants rather than off the card directly. Sixt Platinum is good for a status match into Avis President's Club, and Avis President's Club in turn matches into Enterprise Plus Platinum — a three-step chain the reference below maps hop by hop. Separately, the card's complimentary Avis Preferred Plus is enough for Hertz to match you into President's Circle, its top tier, provided you've logged 25 or more Avis rentals that year.

Of the two rental chains, the Sixt-to-Enterprise route is the easier win since it asks for nothing beyond registering the card. The Hertz route only pays off if you're already renting with Avis often enough to clear that 25-rental bar — otherwise it's a status you can't actually claim yet.

Citi / AAdvantage Executive → American AAdvantage Gold (confer, community-verified) 🇺🇸 — Pure card-spend path, zero flying required: 1 Loyalty Point per $1 (uncapped, citi.com verbatim) plus accelerator bonuses (10,000 LP bonus at 50,000 LP, another 10,000 at 90,000 LP in the same qualification year). $40,000 spend clears Gold's 40,000 LP threshold before accelerators even apply. AA-side threshold uncorroborated on a primary aa.com page (same access wall as the other Citi/AA edges).

Citi / AAdvantage Executive → Avis Preferred Plus (confer, community-verified) 🇺🇸 — Complimentary Avis Preferred Plus via World Elite Mastercard network benefits registration. NOT a dead 2015-18 promo as some sources suggest — Avis's own live 2026 enrollment form (avis-preferred.com/mastercard/) still lists 'Mastercard World Elite' as a selectable card type, and forum reports show successful Jan/Feb-2026 enrollments. Citi's own card page stays silent on this benefit, which caps confidence at community rather than certain.
Avis Preferred Plus → Hertz President's Circle (match, community-verified) 🌍 — Avis Preferred Plus with 25+ rentals in the year; once per 5 years; valid through Dec 31 of 2nd calendar year after approval
