Avis status opens four separate car-rental matches — into Enterprise Plus, Hertz, National Emerald Club, and Sixt — and each is free, though they don't all key off the same Avis tier. President's Club, the top Avis level, is what gets you into Enterprise Plus Platinum and Sixt Platinum: both match straight off it with nothing more than proof of your current card or statement. The Enterprise match applies in the US and Canada; the Sixt match is global.

The other two actually ask for less. Hertz President's Circle matches off Avis Preferred Plus with 25 or more rentals in the year, and National Executive Elite matches off plain Avis Preferred — so you don't need to be at President's Club for either. Hertz's match is global but one-time: you can only claim it once every five years, and once approved it's good through December 31 of the second calendar year after that. National's runs through the US and Canada, and Avis explicitly lets you renew it into another year of Executive Elite.

Keeping the Enterprise or Sixt match alive long-term takes upkeep on the receiving end, not the Avis side: Enterprise wants 24 rentals or 85 rental days a year to renew Platinum, and Sixt's Platinum match runs a year before it needs renewing on Sixt's own terms. If you're deciding where to spend the effort, Sixt and Enterprise are the ones with no rental-count entry price at all — Hertz and National both ask you to already be a heavier renter before they'll match you up.

FAQ
How often can I match Avis status into Hertz President's Circle?
Just once every five years. The match runs off Avis Preferred Plus with 25 or more rentals in the year, and once approved it's valid through December 31 of the second calendar year after that.
Do I need Avis President's Club to get these matches?
Only for two of them. Enterprise Plus Platinum and Sixt Platinum both require Avis President's Club; Hertz President's Circle needs just Avis Preferred Plus, and National Executive Elite needs only base Avis Preferred.
