cruise · starting from Commodore · unlocks 2 programs (2 free)
Ponant status opens two free matches, both one-time moves into other cruise lines' top tiers. You don't need to reach Commodore for either of them across the board — MSC Voyagers Club Diamond is open to anyone holding Ponant's entry-level Major tier, making it the easier of the two to trigger.
Explora Club Platinum with Explora Journeys asks for more: you need Ponant's Commodore tier to qualify, and the match itself is a once-per-lifetime move that Explora processes in about 10 business days once you've shown proof of your current tier. The MSC match is the same kind of one-shot deal — you can only run it once — but it comes with a clock attached: the matched Diamond tier lapses if you don't sail with MSC within three years of approval.
Neither path costs anything beyond the paperwork of proving your Ponant tier, so which one to use comes down to what you already hold. If you're only at Major, MSC Diamond is the only one of the two within reach; if you've climbed to Commodore, you can choose either, though Explora Platinum is the higher-value use of a lifetime match given what it takes to get there in the first place.
