What Capital One Venture X unlocks

If you hold the US Capital One Venture X, you're one step from Hertz President's Circle, the top tier in Hertz's loyalty program. Capital One enrolls you directly, and since September 2024 the benefit has been permanent — no expiration to track.

That Hertz status becomes the springboard for three more free matches, one per rental brand. Send proof of your Hertz President's Circle status to Avis and you land in Avis President's Club, though the match only holds for about a year, after which keeping it calls for an estimated 20 rentals or $6,000 in US spend. Enterprise Plus will match the same Hertz status to Platinum with a current Hertz statement uploaded, and holding onto it long-term takes 24 rentals or 85 rental days a year, in the US or Canada. Sixt's match to Platinum is the least demanding of the three: it doesn't expire outright, it just renews after the first 12 months. None of the three costs anything beyond the card itself and a bit of paperwork — the effort is in remembering to renew, not in qualifying.
