What Amex Corporate Gold Card (US) unlocks

card · starting from cardholder · unlocks 1 program (1 free)

Most hotel elite status comes from actually staying somewhere; this one comes from a form. The Amex Corporate Gold Card confers Hilton Honors Silver the moment you enroll, with Amex citing about 72 hours to process the request — no stay required to trigger it.

The catch is upkeep, not entry. The status is non-transferable, and Hilton can deactivate it if you don't book and pay for at least one qualifying stay between enrollment and the end of the following calendar year, then annually after that. So the free tier stays free only as long as you're actually putting a Hilton stay on the books now and then.
