How to get Caesars Rewards status

Two credit cards now get you into Caesars Rewards Platinum without a match: the no-annual-fee Caesars Rewards Visa and the $149-a-year Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa both upgrade you to Platinum within 30 days of your first purchase, provided you use the card within 90 days of approval, and you keep the status by charging $5,000 to the card each calendar year. The other route to Platinum, and the way most people reach Diamond, is a direct, in-person status match against Wyndham Rewards. Wyndham Rewards Platinum matches to Caesars Platinum, and Wyndham Rewards Diamond matches to Caesars Diamond. Both matches are US-only, done in person at the Rewards Center inside a Caesars, Harrah's, or Tropicana property in Atlantic City, and both have to happen before the match window closes on 2026-12-31.

The catch that trips people up: your Wyndham status has to be earned. Wyndham tier credit picked up through another status match or through a Wyndham credit card doesn't qualify — you need to show up with a valid Wyndham card that matches your photo ID and status you actually stayed your way into. That rules out the obvious shortcut of card-matching into Wyndham first and then matching again into Caesars.

Diamond carries one more condition on top of the Wyndham match: even after it goes through, the Diamond benefits don't load until you've earned 100 tier credits with Caesars; once they do, the status is maintainable through 2027 and expires 2028-01-31. The Prestige Visa offers a second way to Diamond, purely through spend: put $50,000 on the card in a calendar year and its milestone bonuses total 20,000 tier credits, clearing the 15,000 needed for Diamond — spend less than that and you cap out at 5,000 tier credits, which isn't enough, since the card only earns tier credits at these milestones rather than per dollar. Platinum has no such credit requirement on either the match or the card route — the upgrade itself is the whole process. If you're weighing which to chase, the no-fee Visa is the easy version of this path; Diamond only pays off if you're already planning to put real spend or play into Caesars afterward.
